Short version of the story. Trump sues the IRS for $10B over the leak of his 2019 tax return by Charles Littlejohn. Littlejohn was sentenced to five years starting in 2024. The DoJ settled the lawsuit in May 2026, establishing a $1.776B slush fund for Trump and his Acting AG, Todd Blanche, to dole out to allies of Trump who he feels have been wronged. Without saying, they will need to agree to fealty before they receive a dime. Trump and his sons have also been provided with lifetime immunity from further IRS audits.
For sure, the victims of Epstein and the many wealthy patrons of his island who manipulated the justice system to stay out of legal trouble will not receive a dime.
This all fits the new narrative of what happened on January 6, 2021, when thousands of rioters spurred on by Trump and his accomplices (Guilianni, Blanche, Eastman, Bongino, Carlson, Bannon, Jones, Loomer, and many others) looking for infamy during the two months after the election and their collective buildup and personal exhortations of Trump that morning stormed the Capitol, injured hundreds of police, and, among other childish things, defecated in the Capitol. Trump is rewriting the narrative to say the rioters were heroes and deserve compensation for the abuse by the FBI and the Judicial system.
To desensitize the public to this lawsuit settlement, he has acted out of a playbook familiar to authoritarians. This action, if it stands, further breaches the framework and norms established by the U.S. Constitution (example: Act I, Section 9, Clause 7) regarding funds disbursed by the Treasury without Congressional or Judicial oversight.
He has monetized the office of the President (crypto, billion-dollar foreign developments)
He uses the Pardon authority as a tool to extract payment and fealty
He has weaponized law enforcement (ICE, AG)
He has defanged oversight of administration functions (example: fired military JAGs)
He has “captured the referees” (Media, Universities, Law firms)
He “Floods the Zone” every day with noise (Ballroom, Painting the Reflecting Pool) to distract away from the signal (punishing enemies, rewarding allies, enriching himself via crypto and unconstitutional gifts, and covering up for his failures related to illegal tariffs, rediculously negotiating world peace with his son in law and a developer friend, and bending the knee to Netanyahu’s dream of crushing Iran and to start a disastrous war crippling economies across the globe)
He has received perpetual immunity from IRS oversight
